HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

THE HISTORY OF VALLEY FENCE COMPANY IS REALLY THE STORY OF ITS FOUNDER, MARIANO CHAVEZ.

A self-made man, Mariano has spent his adult life working to better his personal and business lives—both are made richer by his pride in his children and his strong Christian faith. The precepts of his belief and his personal integrity show in the way he runs his company.

Mariano worked at several jobs before founding Valley Fence, gaining valuable lessons about management and communication along the way. In 1969, Mariano put his faith in God when he borrowed against his personal property to secure loans to purchase a truckload of fencing materials to start his fledgling company.

Today, Mariano proudly looks back at all he, his son, grandson and the many talented and loyal employees have accomplished in growing Valley Fence Company into the diverse, profitable and highly-respected company that it is today.
